Oh! Edo Rocket - Episode 7 () 24m
 Things start to get darker when the identity of a rowhouse resident and a close friend of theirs is mistaken... as one is murdered, apparently by the skybeast. As the murders continue, the Men in Black have their hands full investigating the slaughters, and begin to narrow in, unknowningly, on both of the beasts.  Hayami continuously stalks Yuki, taking pictures and superficially protecting her. When his advances are turned down, Honey encourages him, suggesting that persistence would help and that eventually Yuki would come around. Unfortunately for both of them, they are unaware that Yuki only has intentions for Honey, and therefore, for quite a while, misunderstandings and misjudged attempts ensue.  Lina refuses to take the silliness of the charages against her seriously, as she is more interested in the identity of the tiny interloper who stole her screen-time. When Wiser persists in his attempt to arrest Lina for being "Lina," she decides to investigate to clear her name, and especially to capture the little creature.  Birdy is an investigator with the Federation. Chasing down insterstellar criminals, sometimes having to go undercover... on top of that she is apparently well built, and looks 100% human. Birdy is doing idol-work in science fiction films, trying to track down Geega, who for some reason is rumored to be working in the industry. Elsewhere, Tsutomu, an average schoolboy, is just dealing with the everyday stresses of school, and parents who have just moved away for six months.  Aihara has been "in love" with Irie for almost two years. However, she is in one of the "slower" classes, while Irie is an advanced student in the most advanced class. She decides to give it a go, and writes him a love-letter, confessing her feelings... only to be crushed when he flat-out refuses to even accept the letter. When confronted later, it gets worse, when he states, matter-of-factly, "I hate dumb girls." You'd think that that would be the end of it, and they'd have nothing to do with each other from then on, but when a minor earthquake throws further despair into her day...  Rikugou miserably failed his history class, so instead of break, he is taking a remedial course. This brings him to a modern museum in which a combination of sets and virtual reality glasses simulate the city of Edo just as Japan's isolationism ends. Attempting to cross a bridge to a castle, he is attacked by a creature, and all his senses tell him the injuries he has sustained are real, especially since he can no longer find his "glasses." After the attack, the bridge crumbles under him, and he falls, nearly unconscious, into the river. On waking, he finds himself in what seems the past, and someone he met on the tour just before he was attacked, has been there for two years. [gdh] |
